Join Stuart Waters to learn choreography from the solo show Horsemeat. Created in 2005 with dance mavericks Nigel Charnock and Javier De Frutos, Horsemeat confronts the gritty realities surrounding love, life, sexuality and the pains of growing up. Set against a backdrop of popular music, Horsemeat plunges head first into a nightmarish playground of frantic movement and thriving gestures in an all singing, all dancing autobiographical solo.

The session will include background to the show including source material, a warm up and a step by step guide to learn the choreography.

Join award-winning dancer Eleanor Perry (Thick & Tight) to learn choreography from the solo show Cameo Cookie.  Created in 2010, Cameo Cookie is the story of Anita Bryant, the honey-voiced American singer and hard-boiled beauty queen who campaigned in the 1970’s to crush the gay rights movement. A scintillating mix of movement and gesture, music, spoken word, props, gimmicks and a splash of irony. 

The session will include background to the show including source material, a warm up and a step by step guide to learn the choreography.

Gavin's class will consist of a gentle Yoga warm up, Graham based floor work and core stability and strengthening exercises. This will progress into a deep set of Plies, a quick paced rhythmical foot sequence and finish with an expressive and characterful movement exploration and phrase.

 The class will be adaptable to suit a small space or a Yoga mat.

Bagofti is a one man solo show that delves deep into the bold, austere and highly expressive art work of iconic figurative painter Francis Bacon. Part dance, part sculpture, this short work is a mesmerising display of sheer physicality.

Created as a solo for Gary Clarke in 2005 with dance mavericks Nigel Charnock and Javier De Frutos,  HORSEMEAT confronts the gritty realities surrounding love, life, sexuality and the pains of growing up. Set against a backdrop of popular music, Horsemeat plunges head first into a nightmarish playground of frantic movement and thriving gestures in an all singing, all dancing autobiographical solo.

Horsemeat toured nationally and internationally including to The British Dance Edition, Spring Loaded and Homotopia.

Cameo Cookie toured nationally including to The Pink Fringe, Hothouse Festival and Touchwood.

Bagofti

Created in 2011 for (and with) celebrated performer Gavin Coward (balletLORENT), Bagofti is dark and captivating world of beauty and grotesque. Bagofti is a one man solo show that delves deep into the bold, austere and highly expressive art work of iconic figurative painter Francis Bacon. Part dance, part sculpture, this short and work is a mesmerising display of sheer physicality.

Bagofti toured nationally and was programmed as part of the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival
