Wasteland Spring Tour 2020, Next Steps & Invitation from GCC

Following Government restrictions on public events and current lock down, in order to contain the continued spread of COVID-19, Gary Clarke Company regrets that the remaining few dates of the Spring Tour of Wasteland 2020 will not be going ahead as planned.

We are currently working with each venue to reschedule performances of Wasteland in 2021, along with additional venues who also want to present the show. We will keep you posted as Government provides information for the lifting of the lock down, the reopening of theatres and discussions with our funding partners to support this future tour of Wasteland.

Following on from another very successful year, this is very sad news for us all, but the health and safety of our freelance company, our community casts, audiences and tour venue staff is paramount, and whilst we appreciate there will be some disappointment, Gary Clarke Company is committed to following Government guidelines until such a time as this threat to public health has subsided. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and update as and when appropriate.

In the meantime, please enjoy our new online timetable of live classes and workshops with members of the company, plus In Conversation talks between Artistic Director Gary Clarke and Special Guests. Every week we will have a #WASTELANDHome challenge and our community cast of Pit Men Singers will be getting involved.
